Rose Luciano

Uxbridge – Rose (Caruso) Luciano, 80, died Friday, March 23, 2012 in the Lydia Taft House, Uxbridge. She was the wife of Nicholas J. Luciano who died in 1992.

Mrs. Luciano was an expert professional seamstress.

Rose was born Sept. 28, 1931 in Italy the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Pernorio) Caruso and she was educated in Italy. Rose and her family originally came to Worcester from Italy. She had been a resident of Bellingham for more than 20 years, then moved to Pascoag, RI and finally resided in Uxbridge for the past 12 years.

Rose was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very creative and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Mrs. Luciano is survived by four daughters; Sandra L. and her husband Dayton Deetz of Mendon, Donna A. and her husband Erik Thomson of Jensen Beach, FL., Susan M. and her husband William Auty of Mendon, Linda L. and her husband Dean Gaudini of Bellingham and four sisters; Lena Floyd of Marlboro, Antionette Boyle and Giovanna Laurora, both of Somerville, Piera Ravasini of Wilmington, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son, Nicholas A. Luciano who died in 2006.

A Funeral service will be held on Mon. March 26, 2012 at 11 AM in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St. Milford.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Medway Rd. , (Rt. 109), Milford .

A visiting hour will be held Mon. March 26, 2012 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford prior to the funeral service in the funeral home,
