Milford – Dora G. (Streeter) Gaskill, 89, of Milford died Tuesday April 24, 2012 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Richard M. Gaskill, Sr. who died in 1971.

One of 11 children, Mrs. Gaskill was born June 10, 1922 in Milford, a daughter of the late Nathan Ray and Eda (Robinson) Streeter. Raised on a farm on Thomas Street in Milford, she married her husband and moved to Mendon where she raised her family; returning to Milford for the next 20 years. She was a graduate of Milford High School.

Mrs. Gaskill enjoyed crossword books and loved her family and grandchildren.

Dora is survived by a son Richard M. and his wife Connie Gaskill, Jr. of Hartford, KY; five daughters, Jeanne and her husband William Miller of West Haven, CT, Millie McLaughlin of Mapleville, RI, Susan Nealey of Milford, Sally Ricci of Franklin and Doreen and her husband Rick Rankins of Upton; three sisters; Ruth Streeter of Middleboro, Eleanor “Dolly” Ward of Milford and Barbara Hodson of NJ; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Larry Gaskill; three brothers Raymond “Pete” Streeter, Melvin C. Streeter and Nathan “Bud” Streeter and four sisters, Mary Stanley, Jane Rhodes, Ethel Elliott, and Mildred Lakeman.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 30, 2012 at 11AM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford 01757.

Interment will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Milford.

Visiting hours will be Monday from 10-11 AM, prior to the service in the funeral home.
